Sharpe House

Perched proudly on the hillside in the Aureus Estate at Skennars Head, Sharpe House is a bold architectural statement designed in collaboration with Harley Graham Architects. Construction began just before the 2022 floods, with record-breaking rain posing major challenges—particularly during the basement excavation phase.

Despite the testing conditions, the home emerged with a striking mix of materiality and form. Key features include an off-form concrete wall, a suspended slab basement, rooftop deck, and a pool that anchors the outdoor space. Microcement finishes sweep through the bathrooms and living zones, while Blackbutt timber cladding and screens introduce warmth and natural texture to the strong, sculptural silhouette.
